September 22nd, 2024

Meet at 9 a.m. at the Anderson Point Park parking lot! (22 Anderson Point Dr, Raleigh, NC 27610)

Join us for the biggest, bestest cleanup celebration of the Neuse River!

Sound Rivers is proud to team up with Orvis Raleigh, Neuse River Outfitters and Neuse River Brewing for this epic river clean-up and afterparty on Sept. 22.

Check in is at the Anderson Point Park Parking Lot at 9 a.m. Participants will then be shuttled to the starting point or, if you choose to clean up by land, you'll be heading up the Neuse River Greenway. If you're on the water, rafts with water and beverages will be staged along the paddle.

After the clean-up, there will be an afterparty to celebrate your hard work from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Crabtree Creek Shelter (the smaller of the two Anderson Point Park shelters)! Craft beer (armband required) and a food truck will be on site and Loose on the Neuse logo swag will be given out to all participants. It's lining up to be a great event! Come on out and join Sound Rivers staff and board members for a great cause and a great time!

Join The Fight

With continued population growth in North Carolina, the beauty of the Neuse and Tar-Pamlico watersheds are under tremendous strain as use is at an all-time high. Which means we need environmentalists and nature lovers like you who will help us advocate for the protection of our precious water sources.

Sound Rivers serves as the primary protector of these rivers and millions of people in our state rely on this organization to keep watch over a watershed that covers 12,000 square miles and nearly one-quarter of our state. Water from these sources flows through homes and businesses every day, and we need support from citizens like you to monitor and protect the health of our rivers.

Your Membership Protects Our Waterways

As a Sound Rivers member, your voice will join with thousands of others in eastern North Carolina dedicated to the preservation of the Neuse & Tar-Pamlico River Basins. Our grassroots work is made possible thanks to generous member support from organizations and individuals like you.

We are a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which allows for the benefits of a tax-deductible charitable contribution. Please support Sound Rivers by becoming a member today!
