Depending on where you’re located, you may call us at the numbers above or use the form below to report your incident. All entries will be cataloged in the Sound Rivers database. Please share as much accurate and detailed information as possible. If you prefer to remain anonymous, contact your Riverkeeper directly.
Tips for reporting a problem:
- Take pictures, if possible, to document the issue.
- Do not trespass onto private property.
- Note the exact location and/or source of the problem.
- Note any other relevant information such as possible sources, odors, etc.
- Contact us (and NCDEQ if it’s an emergency) and call your local government officials as soon as possible.
- If you see a major spill, fish kill or other emergency, please call the NCDEQ 24-hour emergency response hotline at 800-858-0368 immediately.
