After a start as an environmental engineer, Larry Hodgkins moved on to education, and for the past 20-plus years, he’s served as a middle school teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal and currently is a faculty member in the Department of Educational Leadership at East Carolina University, working with aspiring and current school leaders.

Larry lives on Runyon Creek in Washington with his wife, Anita, and enjoys spending time outside kayaking, cycling and hiking.

“River conditions, water level, water quality, et cetera, are a central feature in my daily life as owner of Boat Works Marina, and I have a personal interest in maintaining a high standard of water quality to ensure the Pamlico is a place current and future generations can enjoy,” he said.
