Sound Rivers Board

JoSeth Bocook

JoSeth Bocook knows flood plains: he’s personally witnessed hurricane flooding of his hometown of Tarboro; as planning administrator for the City of Rocky Mount, and a certified flood plain manager, his work often immerses him in these Tar River towns’ flooding issues.

JoSeth and his son love to spend time fishing on the banks of the Tar River.

JoSeth says he was inspired to join the Sound Rivers board because, “a healthy riverine ecosystem is vital to the prosperity of our communities — past, present, and future.”
