“Fresh water is essential to life, and we all have a responsibility to ensure swimmable, fishable, drinkable rivers in North Carolina and across the watershed,” Catherine says.

From Chapel Hill, Catherine received her master’s degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is currently the planning and policy manager for the North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency, as well as program coordinator for NCORR’s HOPE program, a federally funded program providing rent and utilities assistance to low-income renters who were financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
