This weekend: Operation Medicine Drop events near you!

Operation Medicine is back Earth Day weekend. If you’ve got expired, unused meds in your medicine cabinet, dispose of them the right way—don’t toss them in the trash or flush them down the toilet. That’s how they end up in our waterways! Take them instead to one of several events in our watersheds this Earth Day weekend:

Durham

Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the parking lot across from Mr. Tire, 4051 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd., Durham

Chapel Hill

Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wegmans Grocery Store, 1810 Fordham Blvd., Chapel Hill

Knightdale

Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Knightdale Police Department, 979 Steeple Square Court, Knightdale

Wendell

Saturday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wendell Fire Station No. 1, 2960 Wendell Blvd., Wendell

Clayton

Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Clayton Police Department, 315 E. Second St., Clayton

Kinston

Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Walmart Supercenter, 4104 W. Vernon Ave., Kinston
