Trivia winners Keith Sallings and Helen Tart.
Two strangers combined their Neuse River knowledge to take home the top prize at Sound Rivers’ Earth Day Trivia night at Raleigh Brewing Company.
Keith Sallings and Helen Tart teamed up for the win under the team name “Swamp Monsters,” each took home the top prize of a Raleigh Brewing Company T-shirt and pint glass and split a $100 gift card.
“They had just met that night but they ended up winning, which was awesome,” said Volunteer Coordinator Emily Fritz. “Because this is the work that we do, sometimes it seems like everyone just knows the things we know. So, it’s really cool when people come up to you after an event like this and say, ‘I didn’t know that!’ We bring people in with the hopes for prizes, but it’s really great when they learn something new!”

Emily and Development Coordinator Jay Potter were there to run the trivia, one of several Sound Rivers events lined up to celebrate Earth Day this week.
