Sound Rivers Volunteer Coordinator Emily Fritz met up with volunteers last Saturday to do a deep clean of Northwest Creek Marina, located on a tributary of the Neuse River. The event celebrated National Marina Day, and many people showed up to help celebrate with a clean-up both on the water and its banks. Organizers said they were glad to have Sound Rivers represented there and look forward to making it an annual event.
