Big Sweep Canceled

Environmental, Events

Posted on October 6th, 2016

Due to the predicted weather and continued uncertainty surrounding Hurricane Matthew’s path, our fall Big Sweep cleanup events have been canceled.

Instead we are asking everyone to “Do What You Can, When You Can!” And get a chance at winning a gift certificate to a Washington restaurant.

By doing this, we are encouraging people to take a little extra time when they can to help make this a cleaner place for all of us to enjoy. And, there’s more.

Share your efforts on Facebook and Instagram during the month of October using the hash tag #doingwhatican to earn a chance to win 1 of 4 gift certificates to a Washington restaurant. Be sure to tag Sound Rivers and Washington NC on the Pamlico!

The idea is that this will spur others to do also do what they can, when they can.

#doingwhatican
