This month marked the one-year anniversary of Sound Rivers’ community science program, Water Watch.
“It’s been one year since the start of the program, and it’s grown so much more than we had anticipated,” said Volunteer Coordinator Emily Fritz. “We’re so happy to celebrate this big accomplishment — now we have more than 100 volunteers keeping eyes on the Neuse and Tar-Pamlico, and we just keep moving up the watershed!”
The next round of trainings will be held May 13 in Rocky Mount and May 14 in Durham. Find out how you can be a part of Water Watch HERE, or sign up for a May training HERE!
