Thank you for making Taste of Coastal Carolina a huge success!

A big thank you to the clean water supporters who joined local restaurants, local breweries, culinary student volunteers, and Sound Rivers’ staff and Board on Tuesday night to celebrate our rivers will enjoying delicious food, beer, and wine! For photos of the event from the Havelock News, click here!The Flame Catering & Banquet Center took home the coveted Peppermill Trophy, winning “Best of the Taste,” voted by the attendees. The Flame also won one of our two new categories, “Best Savory Food.” Chef Katherine of Carolina Colors took 2nd place overall, as well as “Best Sweet.” Kitchen on Trent was named 3rd place, and we had a three-way tie for Best Presentation – Vine Cafe, Kreative Cakez, and The Tiny Tornado.
Other local restaurants serving up scrumptious samples of their unique cuisine were Bradley’s Hot Dogs, Carryout by Chrislyn, Christy’s Euro Pub, Dickinson Avenue Public House, La Casetta, Mama’s Sweet Baby Cakes, Starlight Café, The Carolina Bagel Co, and The Scullery.
Brutopia, Tarboro Brewing Company, and Jarvis Street Bottle Shop served up amazing local beer and wine.
We want to send a special thank-you to the restaurants and breweries who worked so hard to make this event a success! If you’re headed out for a meal, booking catering for an event, ordering takeout, or feel like a local brew, please support these wonderful local businesses who support your clean water.
