Pamlico-Tar Riverkeeper Katey Zimmerman celebrates her trash-trap repair on Jack's Creek.
Pamlico-Tar Riverkeeper Katey Zimmerman made a much-needed repair to a Jack’s Creek trash trap last week.
The trash trap, located on a small tributary of Jack’s Creek in Washington, had broken free of one of its anchor lines, which meant it was failing on the trash-trapping job.
Katey came to the rescue, reattaching the line and its buoys, and putting the trap back in Litter-Free action, and picked up a load of trash in the trap, creek and on the banks while she was at it.
Thank you, Katey, for fixing the trap and helping Jack’s Creek stay litter-free!
Like the work you Riverkeeper is doing to put trash where it belongs (which is NOT in our waterways)? We do, too! Donate today to support her work!
