Raleigh trash trap cleanout assisted by chainsaw

Sound Rivers’ trash trap on Little Rock Creek in Raleigh got a different kind of clean-out this week — one that need a chainsaw. Large branches from fallen trees upstream recently made their way downstream to wedge into the trash trap, lifting it out of the water once the water levels went down again. Many thanks to partner The Great Raleigh Cleanup, Preston Ross III and a chainsaw-wielding volunteer for setting the trash trap to rights and make sure Little Rock Creek remains Litter (and Lumber)-Free!
