Public input: Southeast Durham Watershed Improvement Plan

Sediment-laden water pours from an outfall into a southeast Durham creek.
The City of Durham is evaluating existing stormwater control measures to identify potential water-quality improvement projects in stream sections of Stirrup Iron, Lick and Brier creeks.
“This is an important opportunity for the public to share input about problems in the Lick Creek watershed, and to submit their observations about water quality issues there,” said Neuse Riverkeeper Samantha Krop.
If you would like to suggest an area for the city’s assessment (as in, there are stormwater/sediment issues), a public survey for those suggestions is available until April 25. Fill out the survey HERE and stay up-to-date on the project’s progression at the Southeast Durham Watershed Improvement Plan website.
