Broad Creek Vicinity – The Hindsley Platform, site donated by Jan Hindsley, is in Beaufort County on the North side of the river, about 2 miles upstream from the mouth of Broad Creek. Situated on Broad Creek, this platform provides a wonderful getaway with peace and quiet. You can put in at McCotter’s Marina on Broad Creek, Dinah’s Landing on Goose Creek State Park, or Haven’s Gardens on Runyan Creek and have a nice paddle and stop for lunch. Through paddlers can enjoy the beautiful view of Broad Creek. For day or overnight paddlers, the closest put-in is McCotter’s Marina on Broad Creek. The platform is 16′ by 32′ and half of it is enclosed with a roof and screened-in area for those buggy or rainy nights. All sites are only accessible by water.
