Your Pamlico-Tar Riverkeeper Jill Howell spent last Thursday as river guide in an old-growth cypress swamp in Courtland, Virginia, for CNN reporters covering Dogwood Alliance’s work opposing the wood pellet industry. Also along for the kayak trip was Miller, Howell’s adopted puppy, who by all reports did a fine job as co-captain of the tour. For more information about Dogwood Alliance’s work and why the wood-pellet industry is not “green” energy, visit this post on Dogwood Alliance’s website.
