CRAFTY: Sound Rivers' water-quality interns Corey Reaves and Caroline DeGroodt got to put their crafting skills to the test this week on a visit to N.C. State University. PhD student Madison Haley, who is working on a research study about trash/plastics in our waterways and had made the mini-traps for educational purposes, invited Corey and Caroline to make some for Sound Rivers. Sound Rivers' new mini-trash trap will be displayed at events to bring more awareness to our Litter-Free Rivers program. Both Corey and Caroline are based in Sound Rivers' Raleigh office.
