LITTER-FREE: A big “Thank you!” to Larry Hattenburg for his continued diligence in keeping Little Creek in Clayton litter-free. For last week’s haul, weather worked in Larry’s favor, with a surface layer of ice trapping hundreds of small plastic particles, cigarette butts and bottle caps. Larry broke the ice into smaller sheets and put them in buckets to thaw, then dump the water, and dump the trash where it belongs.
