LITTER-FREE: Program Director Clay Barber, Volunteer Coordinator Emily Fritz and Pamlico-Tar Riverkeeper Katey Zimmerman gave a much-needed cleanout to the Greens Mill Run trash trap last week. They removed 52 pounds of trash from Greenville creek and freed the trap from logs and debris. The trio were in good company, too, visiting with some folks who’d traveled from out of state to fossil hunt in the Tar River tributary.
