LITTER-FREE: Last week, Sound Rivers was awarded a grant from the Helmut and Carmen Weisser Foundation to support our Litter-Free Rivers program. This foundation's goal is to help support nonprofits in the region. Volunteer Coordinator Emily Fritz said it was incredibly inspiring to hear all of the amazing work being done all over eastern North Carolina. Sound Rivers was one of the inaugural awardees of this foundation in 2023, and we are so grateful to have their support for Litter-Free Rivers this year!
