In a moment of levity, Interim Executive Director Dave Emmerling passes over the ceremonial scepter (aka trash grabber) to Executive Director Heather Deck last Friday.

Last Friday, Sound Rivers celebrated Executive Director Heather Deck’s return from a three-month sabbatical. Staff gathered in the Washington office to update Heather on the work done and work in progress as she takes the helm once again.

Many, many thanks go to Dave Emmerling, who stepped in and took on the task of helping the Sound Rivers ship stay afloat and on course in Heather’s absence. We couldn’t have done it without you, Dave!
