Tarboro River Cleanup

Save the date! It’s time for another clean up on the Tar River!
We’re partnering up with Tarboro Brewing Company and Knee Deep Adventures on Saturday, September 28th, to pick up trash along the river in Tarboro. We’ll meet at the boat ramp on River Road at 8:30am. We plan to pick up trash until noon, then head to Tarboro Brewing Company to relax over some refreshing beers! Paddlers will launch from, and return to, the same location, so shuttling will not be an issue. Don’t feel like paddling? No worries! You’re always welcome to join us at the boat ramp and pick up trash on land along the river.
Please follow the link below and fill out the short volunteer sign-up form before the clean up, ESPECIALLY if you wish to borrow a kayak. Sound Rivers and Knee Deep Adventures will have a limited number of kayaks available for use.

*All ages are welcome for this event, however, kids ages 12 and under must have a parent/guardian in the boat with them. We ask that anyone bringing children provide the child’s age and weight to ensure proper fitting life jackets (volunteer sign up link). Clean up participants ages 21 and older can enjoy one free beer from TBC!
