Join Neuse Riverkeeper Samantha Krop, Walnut Creek Wetland Partners, Sound Rivers and N.C. State University for a walk in Little Rock Creek, an urban tributary of Walnut Creek, in the heart of Raleigh. Waders will be provided for this walk with water-quality experts and Walnut Creek Wetland Center staff as they discuss the health of our waterways and how you can get more involved in protecting them. Leaders will share about their collaboration to sample the creek and monitor pollution concerns. Attendees will also learn about the history of the Walnut Creek Wetland Center and how community members are working together to care for and protect this special watershed. Meet on the deck of the Walnut Creek Wetland Center.

Joining a creek walk is a great way to learn about a local waterway and get to know your community while spending time outdoors right in the heart of southeast Raleigh.
