THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED! New date: Sept. 7!

Splash for Trash is back! Everyone is invited to come down to the river for a Tar River clean-up on Sept. 7. Always a popular event, Splash for Trash is a community service project hosted by the Greenville Rotary Clubs to promote recreational use and the clean up of the Tar River in Pitt County. By land and sea (*you’re encouraged to bring your own watercraft), participants will scour the shoreline and river for trash that can be gathered up and put in its rightful place. Sound Rivers’ staff will be on hand to help with this event and clean up the Tar River!

For more information, contact John M. Person at 252-353-2131 or email jmperson@embarqmail.com.

(As always, please wear appropriate clothing, including close-toed shoes for the clean-up. Sunscreen is also advised!)
