Screening of "New Trouble on the Neuse"

Event Date: June 26, 2019 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Join your Lower Neuse Riverkeeper at The New Village Brewery & Taproom for an evening screening of WRAL reporter Bill Leslie’s recent documentary on issues facing the Neuse River. From WRAL: “After pollution paralyzed the Neuse River in 1990, the state legislature came up with a bi-partisan plan to combat river pollution following a WRAL documentary. Almost 30 years later, we look at how that river rescue plan was blown off track by three things: a massive hurricane, a political tempest and public apathy.” Your Lower Neuse Riverkeeper, Katy Hunt, will speak about her work protecting the Neuse River, and also take questions from the community.
