Pamlico-Tar Riverkeeper Katey Zimmerman is teaming up with the North Carolina Estuarium and the North Carolina Coastal & Piedmont Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society to host a river cleanup on the Washington waterfront for National River Cleanup Day. Bring your own kayak or boat if you want to clean up on the water, or we’ll be handing out all the supplies you need to clean up by land!

Weather and river conditions permitting, the plan is to paddle around the Washington waterfront and Castle Island to collect trash, while members of the Classic Boat Society will be coming around in their boats to help collect full bags from the paddlers. Trash pickers and bags will be provided.

Cleanup is from 10 a.m. to noon. Meetup is at the North Carolina Estuarium.

Sign up to help keep the Pamlico clean on National River Cleanup Day!
