National Canoe Day paddle on the Tar River!

Join Pamlico-Tar Riverkeeper Katey Zimmerman for a National Canoe Day paddle on June 22!

Waterkeepers Carolina Riverkeepers are each hosting paddles on their respective waterways during the week of June 16 to celebrate the day. Katey’s paddle will start at Town Commons on the Tar River in Greenville and end four miles downriver at Port Terminal.

Meetup is at the Town Commons boat access at 10 a.m., and shuttles will be run from Port Terminal back to vehicles at Town Commons after the paddle.

Bring your own canoe/kayak OR let us know if you need a kayak in the form below — a limited number will be available through our partnership with Knee Deep Adventures.

Bring sunscreen, water and something to eat! Can’t wait to see you there!
