Fall 2019 Neuse River Cleanup
Event Date: September 21, 2019 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
Join us for our annual fall cleanup at Lawson Park. We’ll hop on some kayaks and paddle around picking up trash and cleaning up our waterways.
Bags will be provided, and limited kayaks will be available for free use during the cleanup (email lowerneuserk@soundrivers.org to reserve!) Bring water, work gloves, and sunscreen; children under 18* must have a parent/guardian present to sign waiver prior to kayaking.
Don’t want to kayak but still want to clean? We always have on-land cleanups during our river cleanups so come on out!
When you arrive at Lawson Creek Park, look for the truck and large kayak trailer – that’s where you’ll find the group!
*All children using Sound Rivers’ kayaks must weigh at least 40lbs to fit into our youth life jackets.
