Get Directions

Join Neuse Riverkeeper Samantha Krop, Volunteer Coordinator Emily Fritz and wetland expert David Lekson for a one-of-a-kind walk through Croatan National Forest! Learn all about eastern North Carolina wetlands: how to identify different types of wetlands, why they’re important and why they must be protected.

Event leaders will share information about the loss of federal wetland protections, and what this means for our waterways and communities.

Bring a bag lunch and meet at Merchant’s Grocery at 10 a.m. (1801 Brices Creek Road, New Bern 28562)

Registration ends Friday, March 27, at 5 p.m.
(*Note: please dress appropriately! This is a walk that might take you off the beaten path: close-toed shoes and/or muck boots that can handle soggy land, long sleeves and bug spray are recommended!)
