Attorney Marvin Horton on IBP Slaughterhouse

Posted on December 18th, 2024Sound Rivers would like to acknowledge the passing of Attorney Marvin Horton, whose work to stop an IBP slaughterhouse from being built in rural Edgecombe County was crucial to protecting the land, air and water in the Tar-Pamlico watershed. He, with the grassroots group Citizens for Responsible Zoning, was responsible for an environmental win that has echoed through the decades. Thank you, Marvin, for your legacy.
