Nearly 50 volunteers (and one cat) came out on Saturday, July 13th, to paddle and clean the Tar River at Rocky Mount! Despite the oppressive heat, volunteers pulled nearly TWO TONS of trash from the river and its banks, filling an entire flatbed truck.
After the cleanup, volunteers met back up at Rocky Mount Mills for snacks from Tiny Tornado Food Truck and beer from Koi Pond, Hopfly, and Tarrboro Brewing Companies.
