Oyster Roast 2017 the Most Successful Ever!

Events

Posted on November 16th, 2017

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support your Riverkeepers at our 32nd Oyster Roast on Saturday, November 11th! The event was a smashing success with delicious oysters from Mac Jones Seafood, great dance music from Pamlico Sound Machine, outdoor Celtic string music from Twisted Knot, Chili, Chowder and a wonderful Silent Auction.

Over 400 oyster-lovers attended this year’s event; they enjoyed oysters under the stars and remarked on the perfect oyster-eating weather – chilly but not too cold! Our Silent Auction was a huge hit with nearly 100 items bid on, giving attendees a great way to kick off holiday shopping for a good cause.

We could not have continued our grand Oyster Roast tradition without our wonderful sponsors: Grady-White Boats, Edward Jones, Wright Contracting, Adams & Longino, Century21, Fluvial Systems, Ward & Smith, First South Bank,  Barnhill Contracting, Kris Bass Engineering, LBA, Pecheles, Public Radio East, Restoration Systems, Tayloe Pharmacy , Vidant Beaufort, Coca Cola, Daughtridge Gas, and Day Dreamer Events

Special thanks to William Ryan Photography for photographing the event! See some of the great times from the Oyster Roast below:
