New DEQ Secretary Begins Work

Sound Rivers is pleased with Governor Roy Cooper’s selection for the Department of Environmental Quality Secretary, Michael Regan. Mr. Regan, a native of Goldsboro, has extensive experience in environmental policy and management. Regan worked for more than 10 years at the Environmental Protection Agency. In addition, he spent eight years as the head of the southeastern energy and climate policy for the Environmental Fund.
