Coming soon! Greenville trash trap

Volunteer Coordinator Emily Fritz and Program Director Clay Barber were on the move Tuesday, nailing down the final location for Sound Rivers’ newest trash trap.

Clay and Emily met up with Greenville Director of Engineering Lisa Kirby, Parks Facilities Manager Ross Peterson, Parks Crew Leader Bryan Adams and Parks Facilities Supervisor II Frank Livesay at Greensprings Park in Greenville in preparation for the installation of the Greens Mill Run trash trap. Greens Mill Run is a tributary of the Tar River. The Greenville trash trap will be the fifth installed as part of Sound Rivers’ Litter-Free Rivers program.

Installation is set for 10 a.m. on March 27. Anyone is welcome to attend.
