Samantha Lewis is Sound Rivers’ water-quality intern, based in the Raleigh office.

Samantha is a rising senior at North Carolina State University, majoring in environmental technology and management with minors in toxicology and biology.

“This internship is providing me with hands-on water quality monitoring and contaminant tracing, supporting my career goal of working in environmental toxicology,” Samantha said. “The opportunity to learn how to quantify, source, and track E. coli is granting me with necessary skills that will aid me in reducing ecological risks and protecting public health.”
