Join Pamlico-Tar Riverkeeper Katey Zimmerman for an Earth Week cleanup of Fishing Creek in Oxford! The cleanup will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 27, and when the cleanup wraps up, participants are invited to an afterparty at Tobacco Wood Brewing at 1 p.m. The Fishing Creek watershed provides an important habitat for rare aquatic and wetland species, and Fishing Creek, itself, is a major tributary of the Tar River.

Prior to the cleanup, everyone will meet at Wilton Slopes, a park along the Tar River just south of Oxford Oxford. Bags, pickers and vests will be provided. Be sure to wear close-toed shoes, weather-appropriate clothing and slather on the sunscreen!

Registration is required. Please fill out the form below!
