2017 Annual Pamlico-Tar Riverkeeper Cup Cleanup Challenge

JoinRiver clean up October 5 2008 015 Sound Rivers volunteers on Saturday, April 22nd (Earth Day)  to clean the Tar-Pamlico River! Last year Franklin County won the RIVERKEEPER® Cup Cleanup Challenge, but in 2017 its anyone’s game!

Will it be Washington, Rocky Mount, Greenville, or Louisburg? Come out to help clean and maybe YOUR city will win!

Volunteer organizers needed! Organizers needed in the towns of Louisburg, Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Greenville and Washington. As an organizer, you will work with our Riverkeeper to promote the event in the local area, recruit volunteers, and organize site selection and trash collection for the event. Interested? Please bring your canoe, kayak, or jon-boat along with a PFD. Bags will be provided and a limited amount of gloves will be available. Land cleanups will also be conducted in all cities.
