From the Ashes-Free Film Screening

Ahead of its release on the National Geographic Channel on June 25, Pamlico-Tar Riverkeeper, Sound Rivers, Sierra Club and local residents from the Rocky Mount, NC, area will host a free screening of the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival documentary.

From the Ashes, produced by Radical Media in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies, captures Americans in communities across the country as they wrestle with the legacy of the coal industry and what its future should be under the current Administration. From North Carolina to Montana, the film goes beyond the rhetoric of the “war on coal” to present compelling and often heartbreaking stories about what’s at stake for our economy, health, and climate.
